A mutual friend of ours talked me into going out one night (something I usually didn’t do). Again, thankfully it happened!!! This was the night it started for me and Scott. It just so happened, that Scott and his friends were at the same club that night – yes, Texas Club. We haven’t seen each other since high school (this was about three years after high school), Scott and I started talking, dancing…just having fun with one another. All that fun with Scott made me realize my current relationship should have ended a long time before that. It wasn’t a few days after that night that I ended things with my current boyfriend (it took Scott to make me realize that I deserved better). You guess it… Scott and I started hanging out with our mutual friends, and we started dating not long after that.
We dated for two years before we got engaged (11/1/2002 – all Saints Day), and were married on November 7, 2003 (four weeks after Traci and Dean). Scott and I always said God would tell us when we were ready for children. Before God told us we were ready for children, he led us to Lexie (Maltipoo) rescued on September 11, 2005, and purchased Baxter (Yorkipoo) April 2008.

God told us in August 2008 that we were ready for children and nine months later… we had our beautiful son, Logan Scott. Everyone told us that our lives would never be the same once we had Logan. It use to make me upset to hear that, because I thought our lives together were just fine and I was happy with it. Now, I completely understand. While there was nothing wrong with our lives before Logan, he just adds a special touch.
Logan Scott was born on May 25, 2009, weighing 7 lbs, 15 oz and 29 1/2 inches long.

Logan NOW… at 11 months

First, I prayed that we would have a healthy baby boy. Second, I wanted him to be just like his daddy. I think Scott is the most WONDERFUL man in this world, and I’m thankful he is my husband and Logan’s father everyday!!! Unfortunately (HA HA), Logan is just like both of us. He is just like Scott until he gets upset. When he’s mad, Logan has his mother’s coonass attitude! As Scott says, “she’ll snap like a stick”.
I’ll use this blog to talk about our family. Life with Logan…well there’s never a dull moment.

YAY!!! So glad you're blogging now!! I'd forgotten how little Baxter was when y'all got him.
