Maybe we did move

Maybe we did move, because Logan didn't have shorts on when I picked him up last night either. HA HA

Logan loves to play with the rocks around mom and Mr. Bob's Koi pond. We'll he was headed in that direction when Grandpa told him No. We'll this is the response we got.
As you know, this will be the first weekend away from Logan. Scott and I, along with our neighbors, are going to the camp this weekend. When Logan woke up early this morning, I was glad because that would give me more time to play with him. He wasn't in the mood to play. All he wanted with his bottle. I usually put him in his chair when he takes his bottle. Since he got up earlier than usual, I still needed to get dressed. So, I just put him in his chair with his bottle and stuck him in the bathroom with me. I look over at him and this is what I see....

If that doesn't say...Mommy, that's not helping. I don't know what he's saying! I'm not ready for him to start talking.

Since Scott hasn't spent much time with him this week(working nights) and won't spend any time with his this weekend, I woke him up early too. Of course, Daddy didn't get the "look". They played in the living room for a little while. We packed everything and off to maw-maws we went. Usually, Logan plays with me and maw-maw in the mornings. Since Grandpa is off on Friday you can forget it, he didn't want us. I'll miss him like crazy this weekend, but I'm sure he won't even think about mommy and daddy.

When I left Logan this is what he was doing...
Now, we know how the remote got in the garb rage can the other day.

What can I say… Life with Logan – we’ll there’s never a dull moment.

BAD Child?

Mom and Logan went to my sister's house yesterday to do what...watch Young and the Restless together. We'll I get a phone call from my sister telling me my son was VERY B A D! I wonder why he is sooo B A D...

This is grandpa teaching him how to do that!!! As you can see, Logan is taking an interest. Something tells me that Logan won't need any help when it comes to getting in trouble.

Mom tells me that Logan takes the broom from her whenever she is sweeping. SO, what does mom do? Travels all over town yesterday looking for a broom for Logan. This brings me back to... WHY my son is so B A D -- because he gets whatever he wants.

Last night, we had our first neighborhood watch meeting. Scott was working nights, so it was just me and Logan. Thankfully, Pattie, Angela, Kyle and Maddie were there to help. Our neighbors are just an extended part of our family, so Logan feels extremely comfortable with them. As a matter of fact, he left my arms to go to David (Kyle and Maddie's dad) last night.

Kyle, Logan and Maddie

Back to the meeting, Logan didn't like being confined to that stroller. When he started screaming, I took him out. Of course, he started running all other the room. He went from neighbor to neighbor. One even picked him up and loved on him.

This is going to be a very interesting weekend. Pattie, Rod, Angela and David are coming to the camp with us this weekend. Therefore, Logan is spending the night with maw-maw and grandpa on Friday and with Nona and Pops on Saturday night. This will be the first time we are away from Logan overnight. It should be very interesting for all of us.

Livingston Parish?

Did we move to Livingston Parish? Why do I ask, we'll when I pickup up Logan yesterday this is how he looked.

Okay, he's cute but still! And...Yes, he stated that way until he got ready for bed. HA! HA! He was happy, so it didn't seem to bother him.

How did the day go with mom? We'll I get a call from mom. "Are you busy"? I answered, A little bit. Why, what did he do? She just laughed and couldn't quit laughing. Logan LOVES to play in the cabinets and takes the two liter bottles and tosses them around the kitchen. Mom kept telling him NO. Of course, Logan didn't listen. So, mom puts her knee against the cabinet. What does my loving son do? PUSHES her to get her out of the way. When that didn't work, he went to the cabinet in the opposite direction. AND...he start talking to her in his language. I'm sure it's wasn't...maw-maw, I love you.

What can I say.. Life with Logan - there's never a dull moment.

FINALLY

Yeap, I got an iPhone! What the first thing I did with it? I took pictures of my little man.

Little man on the move... him and Baxter were playing chase

always moving....

Mom is watching Logan this week. She said Logan had a good day yesterday; he played his little heart out. Mom showed the house in Baker twice yesterday (keep your fingers crossed) and Logan loved every minute of it. Being that it is an empty house, he hears voice very well. Mom said he talked and talked.

Get this? Mom and Mrs. Carol swears that he will stop whatever he is doing and run to the TV when he hears the theme song of Young and the Restless. Mom thinks it is hilarious because I think its retarded how “dedicated” they (mom and my sister) are to watching that show. Now, if it was Grey’s Anatomy that’s a whole different story. HA! HA!

My First Blog

This is the first blog of many blogs to come. I’ll start the first by telling a little bit about our family. Before we became a family, it was just me and Scott. Scott and I attended the same high school; we didn’t date in high school, but we were friends. Scott graduated in 1995 and went off to Southwest Junior College in Mississippi to play baseball. I graduated in 1996 attended Southeastern Louisiana University, but still lived at home. THANKFULLY, things did not go well with Scott at SMCC. I say that because if things went well, Scott and I may have never started dating!!! Chances of him being at that bar that night would have been very slim.

A mutual friend of ours talked me into going out one night (something I usually didn’t do). Again, thankfully it happened!!! This was the night it started for me and Scott. It just so happened, that Scott and his friends were at the same club that night – yes, Texas Club. We haven’t seen each other since high school (this was about three years after high school), Scott and I started talking, dancing…just having fun with one another. All that fun with Scott made me realize my current relationship should have ended a long time before that. It wasn’t a few days after that night that I ended things with my current boyfriend (it took Scott to make me realize that I deserved better). You guess it… Scott and I started hanging out with our mutual friends, and we started dating not long after that.

We dated for two years before we got engaged (11/1/2002 – all Saints Day), and were married on November 7, 2003 (four weeks after Traci and Dean). Scott and I always said God would tell us when we were ready for children. Before God told us we were ready for children, he led us to Lexie (Maltipoo) rescued on September 11, 2005, and purchased Baxter (Yorkipoo) April 2008.

Picture of Baxter (black) and Lexie (white) when we just got Baxter.

God told us in August 2008 that we were ready for children and nine months later… we had our beautiful son, Logan Scott. Everyone told us that our lives would never be the same once we had Logan. It use to make me upset to hear that, because I thought our lives together were just fine and I was happy with it. Now, I completely understand. While there was nothing wrong with our lives before Logan, he just adds a special touch.
Logan Scott was born on May 25, 2009, weighing 7 lbs, 15 oz and 29 1/2 inches long.

Logan NOW… at 11 months

First, I prayed that we would have a healthy baby boy. Second, I wanted him to be just like his daddy. I think Scott is the most WONDERFUL man in this world, and I’m thankful he is my husband and Logan’s father everyday!!! Unfortunately (HA HA), Logan is just like both of us. He is just like Scott until he gets upset. When he’s mad, Logan has his mother’s coonass attitude! As Scott says, “she’ll snap like a stick”.

I’ll use this blog to talk about our family. Life with Logan…well there’s never a dull moment.
